Services



Computer:  There are 4 computers that are available to the public.  Each computer has internet access and Microsoft Word.  The computers are all hooked up to printers and printouts are 50 cents each.  Anyone using the computers must have a Belmar Public Library card.  The age to use the computer is 18.  You are guaranteed 15 minutes on the computers, and you may stay on up to an hour if nobody is waiting.  Anyone using the computer must know how, the staff does not help, unless it is a problem with the computer.  The user may not use their own disks.  The computers are basically used for email,  research. and word processing. Must have a library card. If you do not have a card then it's $5 for a half hour.

Copies:  Copies are 20 cents a page


Fax:  The first page of a fax is $2.00 and then $1.00 for each page after.


Delivery:  We will deliver books to patrons who due to illness are confined to their home.


Videos:  Videos can be taken out 2 to a family for 2 days without charge.  Late fee of $1.00 a day afterwards.


Audios: We have an extensive selection of audios which can be taken out for a 2 week period. There is a 5 cents a day late fee.


Books: Books can be taken out for a 2 week period. There is a 5 cents a day late fee.


Magazines:  We carry most of the popular magazines which include current events, financial, sports, local, world, electronics etc.. 


Book Fair:  Every Saturday at 9am-12:00 in the summer is the Book Sale in the downstairs of the library.  If you would like to come in on a day that the book sale is not open, please contact the library.


Mayor's Council for the Senior Citizens Atlantic City Bus Ride: You must come to the library to purchase tickets for the bus ride.  The bus ride is on a first come first serve basis, and runs on the first Tuesday of every month unless specified otherwise.  When purchasing a ticket, please bring exact change. You can find out when the next bus ride is or any information on Page Two in the Events section.


Taxes: We offer tax forms and we reproduce pages for a fee


Miscellaneous: The Library is fully equipped with wheelchair accessibility and mothers with baby carriages.


Story Hour: Every Wednesday morning at 10am we have "story hour" for preschoolers with guest story tellers.  Children must be accompanied by a parent.


All Belmar residents are welcome to join the library free of charge.  There is a non-resident one time fee of $25.00.  The staff of the Belmar Public Library is always willing to assist our patrons in anyway.
